Jeanneau Owners Head Back to BVI for 2018 Rendezvous, March 10-17, 2018

It all started in January of 2011 when the idea was floated that Jeanneau should host an owner’s rendezvous the following year in the British Virgin Islands. It would be held sometime during the winter of 2012 when most of our customers weren’t using their boats. Since Sunsail Sailing Vacations was a large customer of ours, we thought it made sense that we work with them to charter the boats we needed for the event. In addition, I had a good friend, Josie Tucci, who was the director of marketing at the time for Sunsail who I was sure would help us organize a first class rendezvous, and she did!

Treasure hunts, pirate parties, and meeting new friends are all part of the fun during this great week-long event

The 2012 Rendezvous was such a success that we came back to the BVI in 2014 and again in 2016. Over the years, we’ve had some terrific guest speakers including Tania Aebi (youngest solo sailor to sail around the world and author of Maiden Voyage) John Kretschmer (professional sailor and author of numerous books, including Sailing a Serious Ocean) and Gary Jobson (America’s Cup Racer, author, and ESPN Commentator).

We’ve stayed and dined at many of the best resorts in the BVI including the Bitter End Yacht Club, Peter Island Resort and Spa, Cooper’s Island Beach Club, and the Pirates Bite.

Although we are still about a year away from next year’s BVI Rendezvous, it’s not to early to round up your crew and lock in the dates of March 10-17, 2018. Space is limited to approximately 125 people or 25 boats. For immediate information on this exciting event, please contact Olivia Schleicher at oschleicher@jeanneau.com. More information is forthcoming!
