Jeanneau Sailboat Owners Gather to Plan Summer Sailing Events

The Chesapeake Bay chapter of the Jeanneau Sailboat Owners Organization, also known as simply the JSO, gathered in Rock Hall, MD this past weekend to among other things, plan their summer sailing events. Dennis Stromberg, one of the founding members of the JSO and owner of a Sun Odyssey 409, organized the event which included upwards of 50 participants representing 25 boat owners who primarily sail in the upper Chesapeake Bay.

In addition to the planning of various events the group is organizing for the 2017 summer sailing season, there were a number of interesting presentations made including one on “understanding tides,” by 43DS owner Ralf Marlett, another one on sailing in Holland by Dennis Stromberg, and Paul Fenn, former President of Jeanneau America, presented a new video from his recent adventure racing from Miami to Havana aboard the Sun Fast 3600.

Established in early 2011 by a group of enthusiastic Jeanneau sailboat owners, the goal of the JSO is stated be to enhance the love of sailing by sharing experiences and promoting friendship and fun, it’s is that simple!
