It was just this time last year when along came an exciting new model that would completely change the way we think of the modern-day cruising boat, the Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 440. In many ways the 440 was not all that different from her predecessors with one notable exception, the walk-around deck!
The Sun Odyssey 440 went on to win numerous awards including Sail Magazine’s Best Boats 2018 and Cruising World’s Boat of the year 2018 to name just two. The Sun Odyssey 490 would soon follow and now, this family of two is joined by a little sister, the Sun Odyssey 410. Designed by Marc Lombard, the Sun Odyssey 410 shares much in common with her older siblings including of course, the walk-around deck.
Other features that set the 410 apart from other models being introduced this year include the 410’s “negative bow” shape allowing for a longer waterline and hence greater performance. A hard chine running the full length of the hull provides for greater initial stability, while twin rudders and carefully considered weight distribution further enhance overall performance and ease of sailing.
Down below the 410 features a contemporary layout with a large master cabin forward and your choice of one or two cabins aft.
The main salon has an overall feel of modern-day living with the galley being an integral part of the family space, much like the “great room” in your house.
The Sun Odyssey 410 will make its North American debut at this year’s Annapolis Sailboat Show from October 4-8.
Think the 410 might be the right boat for you? Like to get some additional information and make an appointment to visit her during the show? If so, please contact Mike Coe at email@example.com and he’ll be happy to help you out.
We look forward to welcoming you onboard this latest addition to the Jeanneau family of walk-arounds.
On we go…
